Studies have shown that children can learn five times faster when they receive one-on-one attention. However, tutoring can be very expensive. At Seeds of Learning, we can provide a dedicated and experienced tutor at a fraction of the cost of a conventional tutor service because we lower the cost by sharing a tutor. How is this accomplished? We hire a tutor to teach a small group-from 2 to 4 students. The tutor gives a lecture and provides a lesson plan to all of the students. After his presentation, he provides each of the students in this small group with one-on-one tutoring.

Parent and Student Surveys- We understand that success requires the coordination of parents, teachers and children. Before tutoring begins, we ask that parents and students list their short- and long-term goals, the things they are challenged by, and how they learn best so we can ensure that the needs of the student and the parents are met.
Teaching Techniques- Our tutors use proven techniques such as creating pneumonic devices and "teaching the teacher" to increase learning and maximize success.
Motivation- We understand that academic difficulties often result in low self-esteem and a "can't do" attitude. At Seeds of Learning, our tutors work to get to know your student, help them set and achieve goals, and build their self-esteem with lots of positive reinforcement, recognition, and praise. In addition, we encourage parents to reward the student for exceptional effort and performance periodically. In time, you will see your child's self-esteem, confidence, and independence grow!
Progress Reports- Our tutors prepare monthly progress reports so you can see how your child is doing. Every month, you will receive a progress report that details what the child has worked on, their successes, their challenges, and what the tutor has planned to work on those challenges in future sessions.
