Summer Camps

Building Knowledge and Having Fun in the Summer

What will your children do with their time during Summer Vacation this year?

Do you want to keep your child at the top of the learning curve during Summer Vacation? Join us at Summer Camp! Here your child will participate with other children in creative and fun endeavors designed to provide a fun and intense educational experience. Come visit while we're in session and see what the children say. We think you will be pleasantly surprised to learn that children like an ordered environment in which they can be creative participants rather than many children who are passive observers watching television or bored with "nothing to do." Here are some of the topics we offer:

1. Creative Writing (Learn to write short stories in various genres)
2.Practical Writing (Self-expression through essays, book reports, autobiographies)
3. Poetry and Riddle writing
4. Plays (Shakespeare for kids using Albert Cullen's text, e.g.)
5. Reading groups (Teaching children how to discuss literature with other children)
6. Music appreciation
7. Division and Multiplication
8. Addition and Subtraction
9. Geometry (Drawing different shapes and calculating areas )
10. Algebra
11. Mathematics for the "Real World" (Grocery shopping, buying toys, going to amusement parks and movies, how to get paid and pay somebody to work for you, budgeting and saving money)
12. Math in Everything! (How math is used in subjects like music and art)
13. Logic (How to analyze things using simple mathematical rules of logic. If A and B are true, is C true?)
14. Famous Mathematicians (Learn about their lives and theories)
15. My Secret Garden (Science of ecology)
16. Inventions (Learn about how things were invented)
17. Physics--Simple rules of physics for children.
18. Geography (Mountain climbers and mountains, stories of volcanoes, earthquakes)
19. Worldwide Cultures (Lessons on languages of the world, teach children how to say things in different languages, learn about different cultures, geography, etc.)
20. History (Compare a recent event with past historical events)
21. Time (What do we mean by 300 BC? Why is time divided into seasons, years, days, hours? How is time measured in space?)
22. Biology (How do our bodies work? What are cells? How does the heart pump blood? How to have a healthy lifestyle)
